FavoWeb FRACAS

Failure Data Collecting & Processing

Failure data collection and analysis are closely connected with all reliability activities. Failure data collecting should start at the early stages of systems design and continue through the entire product life cycle. Both the suppliers and the users must perform the detailed tracking and analysis of equipment malfunctions and failures. FavoWeb FRACAS specialists establish the failure data collection procedure defining the most critical data types for each phase of the product life cycle and ensuring the comprehensive processing leading to corrective action and preventive maintenance. Timely failure data collecting, recording and processing with the help of the FavoWeb software help to prevent failures from recurring and simplify and reduce maintenance tasks thus providing data for statistical analysis. Failure Reporting, Analysis, and Corrective Action System (FRACAS) is a closed-loop feedback path in which the user and the supplier work together to collect, record, and analyze failures of both hardware and software data sets. The user captures predetermined types of data about all problems with a particular tool or software and submits the data to that supplier. A Failure Review Board (FRB) at the supplier site analyzes the failures, considering such factors as time, money, and engineering personnel. The resulting analysis identifies corrective actions that should be implemented and verified to prevent failures from recurring.

Trend Analysis

Accurate trend analysis is one of the most valuable outcomes of timely and well-defined FRACAS. FavoWeb FRACAS experts will perform the trend analysis assessing historical reliability performance: MTBF, MTTR, availability, preventive maintenance, etc. Analysis of deficiencies patterns allows for defining the failure trend, and finally contributes to prevention of failures and unnecessary maintenance activities.

FavoWeb Voice-Enable

FavoWeb Voice-Enable system allows failure reporting via voice. FW has an approved patent titled as "A system and method for Failure reporting and collection (by Vocal / Visual technologies)" in USA, Israel and Europe (patent pending). Checking and reporting technician personnel, who are equipped with PDA can report on-line, directly to FavoWeb system. The benefits of using this feature are:

  • Increased Reported Events:
    - Easy & Quick
    - Available
    - Motivating
  • Increased Reliability of Reported Event:
    - Real Time Reporting
    - Updatable Taxonomy
    - Recording Feature for Future Reporting
  • Increased Technicians Safety:
    - Hands free Reporting
  • Multilingual System - Support all Languages

Corrective Action

Our FRACAS experts will assist you in defining corrective actions based on the collected engineering data. The benefits of early implementation of corrective action become apparent to the manufacturer as the failure occurrences decrease on the manufacturing line and in the field. Your organization will be able to fulfill the ISO 9000 requirements for the corrective action. Determination of the appropriate corrective action sequence is one of the main goals of failure data collecting process.

FavoWeb Dashboard

FavoWeb Analysis Tool or in its known name FavoWeb Dashboard, is a new presentation tool for failure Trend Analysis, Failure distribution/Pareto and correlation. It's a graphical tool, showing multiple interconnected graphs allowing the R&M engineer to grasp more than one dimension in one look.

For example, 3 total independent parameters describing the failure event: Equipment type, Failure Symptom and Environment Condition. Each parameter can participate in a Failure Distribution Report showing number of records for each parameter value. Showing all graphs on one page while filtering values (refreshing graphs every time you click a value in any report) gives the reports a whole new prospective. FavoWeb is well integrated with existing OLAP based tools (both SQL Server and Oracle based).
